Thank You, Paul: Off the Clock, Onto the Trail

Today we are here to announce that longtime partner Paul Delorey is stepping back from the company to focus on his retirement and spend more time with family.

Paul has been with PolyCore since the very beginning, playing an essential role in shaping the company’s direction, culture, and values. After spending 15 years as the president of Jansport, Paul was excited to have the opportunity to dive into the advanced chemistry that goes into backpack materials. He quickly learned the undesirable secrets of solvent-based PU coatings and was inspired to make a difference. 

A trusted mentor to many, Paul brought clarity, creativity, and perspective to every stage of PolyCore’s growth. His leadership has helped guide the company with integrity and a sense of purpose. We all need that weekly reminder: ‘Don’t forget to have fun!” Paul is known throughout the industry for his infectious enthusiasm, and has always prioritized fun, connection, and a deep respect for the outdoors. His love for the outdoor industry and the environment has inspired countless colleagues and partners over the years.

While he’s stepping away from daily involvement, Paul’s impact on PolyCore is lasting and deeply appreciated. Keep an eye out for Paul roaming the sands of Vero Beach, Florida or paddling away on Legend Lake, Wisconsin (he’s the one who looks like Santa).
